What is FoCo Design?

Hi, my name is Lisa and I love design! To me, design is everything - from the fancy handbag you carry to the simple design of your toothbrush...someone had to come up with the design right? Design is all around us and I for one live, breathe and eat design! I'm an interior designer and have worked on residential and commercial projects of all sizes. I started this blog, FoCo Designs, to discuss with YOU, my fellow design enthusiasts, where and how to incorporate all elements of design into your world! Decor items for LESS!


Who needs Restoration Hardware and Crate & Barrel when you have The Living Space?  In case you've never ventured to Old Town to The Living Space (Opera Galleria 123 N College Ave #170), let me paint you a picture of what you will find.  It's an image that's taken out of a glossy decor magazine, like Elle Decor and dropped in Fort Collins.  The interior is edgy with painted brick walls, polished concrete floors, very low cowhide chairs, upholstered headboards, and lots of small and large decor items that are a fraction of the prices you would pay in Chicago or New York.  I love going into this store because for a moment I am transported back to the trendy shopping neighborhood in Chicago but am transported back when I look at the price tag...what?  Only $59 for a metal bowl that is oh-so-gorgeous! 

They seem to get stuff in every two weeks or so, because the merchandise is always changing.  And why buy catalog when you can buy local and give money back to the community?  Enjoy the weather and be transported this weekend! Click here to view their site: The Living Space
